“If he didn’t care about you, you couldn’t upset him”
(p.198, Liza to Bod @ The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman)
That’s what human being do. It always happens. Because only people that cared and loved us would make high expectations to us. And when we’re doing something wrong they’ll be the very first person to upset.
How about our enemies? Sometimes they’ll be upset when we reach success, right? Well, then, maybe our enemies could be included into people that cared.
Fortunately, it’s not my nature to care too much, especially when it’s out of my business. I learned that some people don’t deserve that. And when I didn’t care about somebody, everything that happened, good or bad, wouldn’t affect me. So, the quote was made sense to me. However, if we still have heart we couldn’t be that careless. Nobody could please us everytime, it’s natural to be upset sometimes.
